San Francisco, SpeechTEK West –January 30, 2006 -
VoiceGenie Technologies Inc., the proven
performance leader in standards-based software platforms powering customer contact solutions and
next-generation networks, announced today that DemandVoice, LLC has licensed VoiceGenie's industryleading
VoiceXML platform to better meet the requirements of enterprises desiring a hosted IVR service.
"VoiceGenie's VXML platform is a great foundation for a reliable and scalable IVR service. I am very
impressed with the quality of VoiceGenie's product and its staff," said Mark Rayburn, DemandVoice
President & CEO. "With the advent of VoiceXML and other distributed technologies, more and more of
today's businesses prefer hosted solutions once they find that the security, reliability, quality,
performance, and scalability meets or exceeds what an enterprise can provide on premise."
DemandVoice has installed VoiceGenie 7 and now can offer hundreds of VoiceGenie ports to its
customers. In addition, DemandVoice provides a staging environment, which allows for rapid debugging
of customer-supplied or third-party speech applications, prior to going with a production environment. The
DemandVoice hosting service handles inbound and outbound dialing solutions initiated through a serviceoriented
architecture (SOA).
"DemandVoice's single-minded focus on operations and its ability to integrate and deliver all the pieces of
a superior, hosted IVR solution impressed us, and we are pleased DemandVoice chose us as a major
part of its VoiceXML solution offering," said Frank Tersigni, VoiceGenie VP of Marketing and Business
Development.
"Over two years ago, with a very successful gateway in production, VoiceGenie elected to refactor its
core product with an eye toward the future," Rayburn added. "To me, this demonstrated not only the
company'slong term vision and dedication to quality, but also their confidence in the technical staff and
their commitment to the industry. Today VoiceGenie is enjoying the rewards of a more performant
platform and flexible architecture, making it an excellent choice for a hosted service such as ours. One
example of this sound engineering is found in VoiceGenie's Session Initiation Protocol (SIP)
implementation. VoiceGenie's SIP offering is mature, well tested, solid, and extensible. We use SIP to cut
costs, raise performance and increase densities while improving reliability and offering more features,
faster. VoiceGenie allows us to grow and scale to meet our customers' needs."
Benefits of Pure-Play Hosting Model
DemandVoice believes many enterprises wanting to establish an IVR solution prefer the impartiality of a
hosting pure-play which expands their range of choices rather than force fitting them into a "onesize fits
all" offering. Pure-play hosting promotes richer partner networks and gives the customer freedom to pick
the best players for the best solution. Moreover, this model eliminates concerns that the application
hosting company will choose its own solution over the carriers or products that make up the solution.
